LAWRENCE AFERE, ONE OF THE 500 YOUNG AFRICAN LEADERS RECOGNIZED BY PRESIDENT OBAMA

In 2014, Lawrence, founder of Springboard, was selected as one of the 500 Washington Fellows for Young African Leaders, a President Obama initiative to train young Africans in Business, Public and Civic sectors.

During his fellowship in the U.S, Lawrence had the opportunity to:

  • Interact with President Obama at a Presidential Summit in Washington, D.C.;
  • Participate in a 6-week intensive Entrepreneurship and leadership program at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois; and
  • Meet with U.S. government, civic, and business leaders.
